Broad View EAAT's mission is to provide participants the opportunity to learn a variety of important life lessons that are acquired through caring for and working with horses. Our program is specifically geared toward participants who may struggle behaviorally or academically, who have endured trauma, and/or may need a safe and positive space to find their inner strength. Broad View aims to guide participants to find hope in their future through the love of horses, and discover a positive new path equipped with life skills, enabling them to lead a successful life.

Our program |
Broad View Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT) was founded in 2018 to serve a population and need that is often underserved - challenging kids who have experienced trauma. The significance of the name is two-fold - our founder's grandfather grew up on Broad View Farm in Sussex County, and was someone who was always able to see things in the big picture, in order to persevere through many of life's hardships.

Who we serve |
We serve those who could benefit from learning life skills via working with horses - from the ground or in the saddle. Many of our participants are those who struggle in traditional learning environments due to the life experiences they have been through or the diagnoses they may have (e.g. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Opposititional Defiant Disorder, Mood Disorders, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder).
Time spent in the barn or working with the horses often gives our participants the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone, focus on their strengths, and gain confidence, empathy, and hope for a brighter future. |
“Working with horses teaches me how to handle situations I can't handle sometimes.”
